Apply for Local Community Support
We’re proud to support initiatives that deliver meaningful social and economic benefits to the communities where we operate. Our program offers a clear and accessible way for local groups, organisations, and clubs to seek support for delivering community programs, projects and events that make a real difference.
Some of our valued community partnerships include the Whyalla Shooting Stars program, NAIDOC Week celebrations, D’Faces of Art classes, and annual events such as the Whyalla Christmas Relief Program, the OneSteel Christmas Pageant and Carols, and the Whyalla Show.
Two rounds of support are facilitated each year through the focus six (6) categories:
- Support for Disadvantaged in the Community
- Support for Education and Learning
- Support for Youth Development
- Youth (Arts)
- Youth (Sports)
- Youth (Development)
- Support for Major Community Events
- Support for the Indigenous Community
- Support for Diversity and Inclusion
Timelines: Round 1 Opens 1st August, Closes 31st August – Round 2 Opens 1st February, Closes 28th February
The OneSteel Community Support Program operates through a competitive application process and often receives more requests than it can accommodate. As a result, funding is awarded to applications that most strongly align with the program’s assessment criteria.
Applicants to the Community Support and Sponsorship program are asked to complete a Community and Support Application Form.
