Apply for Local Community Support
We’re proud to support initiatives that deliver meaningful social and economic benefits to the communities where we operate. Our program offers a clear and accessible way for local groups, organisations, and clubs to seek support for delivering community programs, projects and events that make a real difference.
Some of our valued community partnerships include the Whyalla Shooting Stars program, NAIDOC Week celebrations, D’Faces of Youth Art classes, and annual events such as the Whyalla Christmas Relief Program, the OneSteel Christmas Pageant and Carols, and the Whyalla Show.
Two rounds of support are facilitated each year through the focus categories:
- Disadvantaged
- Education and Learning
- Youth Development
- Youth (Arts)
- Youth (Sports)
- Youth (Development)
- Community Events
- Indigenous
- Diversity and Inclusion
Timelines:
Round 1 Opens 1 August – Closes 31 August
Round 2 Opens 1 February – Closes 28 February
The Community Support Program is a competitive process, and OneSteel often receives more applications than it can accommodate. As a result, funding is awarded to applications that best meet the program’s assessment criteria.

We invite applicants to apply for financial or in-kind support through the OneSteel Community Support Program. Please refer to the program guidelines before applying.
